Voodoo Charlie and the updated blog design.
While I was making our Star Trek uniforms last month, I had the perfect idea: a voodoo doll pincushion! But as I expected, someone had thought of it before me and even posted a pattern for the body online.
So when I had an ache to make something today, I pulled up the pattern and got to work. Despite a few minor difficulties (I suggest a larger head and less seam allowance), Charlie came out quite well. I only hope I didn’t hurt anyone when I filled him with pins.
I also updated the design of my blog a bit. I still plan to build my own theme from scratch soon, but I’m currently trying to focus on other things…things that I cleverly avoided today with my spontaneous blog-updating and Charlie-sewing.
I love Voodoo Charlie! Please don’t use him on me though. :) I also really like your logo at the top of the page – the way you incorporated your Whispers logo into your name is really cool.
