Still working on Norman’s design. I’m moving toward simpler shapes, and it’s starting to feel right. Overalls!
For the past four years, I’ve designed and hand printed our Christmas cards, each year using a different method: screen printing, block printing, Gocco, and now letterpress. This was my first run on my little press!

My press isn’t set up with a photopolymer base yet, so I used cuts and fonts that I’d picked up over the past year. Since my only Christmas cuts were a tiny piece of holly and a tree that wasn’t type-high, I created my own design with houses made of sideways arrows and snow made of O’s.

Most of the postcards should’ve reached their destinations by now, I hope. (The last postcard I mailed was lost in transit, but surely Christmas ones get better treatment!)
Things are busy around here, so I’ll be back with some big news in January. Merry Christmas, everyone!
