I’ve been working on what seems like a million different projects lately, but I wanted to quickly post a couple of the Doggins character designs in-progress.

Doggins, getting closer to his final design. Still mainly working on his face.

Early sketch of Fitzwilliam. Working on a digital version of him, to be posted soon.
It’s been over year and a half since I started creating FELT posters, and lately it’s grown a little quiet. There’s a reason.
I’ve been working hard the past few months to evolve the project into something new. I’ll share details about this new project at a later point, but for now I’ve decided to celebrate the conclusion of FELT with a full set of the posters as desktop wallpapers, for free! You can also still buy the posters in the shop, for the time being.
As a conclusion and a “to be continued,” I created one final poster. It was actually the very first FELT poster I made, but it sat unfinished after I decided to instead begin in Genesis. Now, I think it illustrates the transition perfectly.

Out of the eater came something to eat.
Out of the strong came something sweet.

Over the past year, I’ve been collecting fonts of metal type for printing and needed a place to store them. I considered buying a full-size type cabinet, but they’re huge and expensive. Instead, I decided to buy a single case and turn it into an end table.
It was fairly easy to build. I bought hairpin legs from Bald Man Mod, attached them to a pine base, set the drawer on the base with rubber bumpers for stability, and added a custom glass top.

I love it. It only stores one font and some miscellaneous cuts, so I might eventually stack three cases with the glass on top. But I’m pretty happy with it as is, for now.
